African Primates Query #3

Query used in Pamela Rasmussen's Michigan State University summer study course in Uganda, 2008 (Zoology 490, Overseas Study in Zoology, upper division students). In this query students are asked to explore the questions: "What natural history features of African primates might make them threatened or endangered? What natural history features seem to protect African primate species from becoming threatened or endangered?"
This query is appropriate for upper division evolution, zoology, mammalogy, conservation biology, or primatology courses. Or it can be modified to be used in other advanced zoology, evolution, or taxon-specific courses.
