Malagasy Primates Query #6

Query used in Pamela Rasmussen's Michigan State University summer studies course in Madagascar, 2008 (Zoology 490, Overseas Study in Zoology, upper division students). This query has students ask "What is the expected relationship between number of offspring per reproductive effort and investment in offspring in a species? Are there any special features of primates (Malagasy primates in particular) that might affect this relationship?"
This query is appropriate for upper division evolution, zoology, mammalogy, or primatology courses. Or it can be modified to be used in other advanced zoology, evolution, or taxon-specific courses.
