An exercise designed by ADW staff to illustrate relationships between social systems and habitat types in birds. This exercise was used in Dr. Pamela Rasmussen's Michigan State University Zoology 260 course.

This exercise is appropriate for introductory or advanced courses in general ecology or evolution and in ornithology courses. It can also be modified for different taxa for which ADW has adequate data (mammals, birds, North American herps).
